EXPERIENCES AS A RESEARCHER
- Involved in an international research project among Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, the Netherlands and Finland, titled “Women, Work, Well-being, Waste and Sanitation: Action research on alternative strategies of environmental sanitation and waste management for improved health and socio-economic development in peri-urban coastal communities in South Asia” (2003-2006).
The project, led by IRC of the Netherlands and funded by EU, was initiated to introduce cost-effective, technically, socio-economically and environmentally innovative and replicable approaches to environmental sanitation and waste management in densely populated and economically fragile peri-urban communities of coastal areas in Bangladesh.
